New Sola Study on the Name of God

From its formation, one of the foundational goals of Lutheran Core has been to "advocate for the use of the name of the Holy Trinity in worship, Christian education, and theological education."

Sola Publishing has just released a new adult Bible study in its "Thinking Like Scripture" series.  The new series is titled: "I Am Who I Am - A Bible Study on the Holy Name of God."  It was written in collaboration by the Rev. Dr. Michael Tavella of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Abington, PA, and the Rev. Steven King, General Editor of Sola Publishing.

The study's cover provides this description:

God said to Moses, “I Am who I Am … this is my name forever and this my title for all generations” (Exodus 3:14-15). To us as Christians, the Name of God reveals His identity and nature. For we know that the same LORD who created the heavens and the earth has now come to both Jews and Gentiles in the person of Jesus Christ. In Him, God has revealed the Trinitarian nature of “Father, Son, and Holy Spirit” by giving this divine Name to us as His children. This six-week study explores what it means to “not take the name of the LORD your God in vain” (Exodus 20:7), while at the same time trusting the promise in Christ that “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21).

The study "I Am What I Am" can be found on the Sola website HERE.
